Frequently Asked Questions

  • During your 1-hr lesson we'll kick off with a warm up, then a practice routine at a steady pace, from there we’ll learn routines with some fun footwork. Each lesson will end with filming a video of your favorite routine as a souvenir. We love to take song and dance requests and leave plenty of time for group photos before you go.

  • For an Offsite Lesson, we come to you! We can host a private lesson at your vacation rental, your office space, a venue of choice, or even outdoors. We bring sound equipment, music, and a talented instructor to your door!

  • We’ve taught lessons in living rooms, rooftop decks, backyards, and common spaces all over Nashville. Ideally, each person would have a 2’x2’ square foot space for dancing, though we can always make modifications to fit the space available.

  • Not at all! Line dancing is meant to be a fun experience for everyone. Your instructor can tailor the lesson to your group’s ability.

  • Whether it’s jeans, a dress, or yoga pants, just make sure you’re able to swing your legs and stomp your feet. We do recommend shoes that are secure to your feet rather than sandals.

  • That’s entirely up to you! It’s always appreciated but never expected.

Policies

  • Full payment will be processed via credit card upon booking in order to secure your lesson. Locations that are 10 miles or more from downtown Nashville (Broadway) will be subject to a $50 travel fee.

  • New Boots may not be able to modify the date and time of your lesson once it is booked. Modifications made within 1 week of the lesson may be subject to a $100 rescheduling fee

  • Lessons cancelled for whatever reason will receive a 50% refund up to the week of the lesson. Lessons cancelled within 1 week of the lesson date will not receive a refund. No shows will not receive a refund.

  • If the venue allows it, guests are welcome to indulge during the lesson. If the instructor deems any guest too intoxicated to participate, they may be asked to sit out. If the instructor has safety concerns regarding a majority of the party’s ability to dance without injury, they have the right to cut the lesson short.

  • Each guest agrees to dance at their own risk. New Boots is not responsible for injuries or damage to property.
